March 22, 2018: An Inauspicious Start

Well, I moved up my start date for my Trans Canada Trail journey (bit by bit) by a full month as I was bored with the training around Kelowna. It's been a long winter here and the best hiking trails are still covered in snow and ice, so tramping around the roads and the RailTrail, I'd had enough. My first hike on the TCT was on March 22, 2018, 6ºC, and raining, and my shortest hike to date!

At Lochore Road go up the hill a few minutes and you'll arrive at Red Rooster Winery. I tried the Pinot Gris ($24.95).
